I have a confession. I am Kardashian obsessed. I don't know what it is. I know that none of them have done anything notably amazing with their lives and that they are literally famous for being famous, but I just cannot help it. I'm obsessed. So when I found out that they were coming out with a nail polish line with Nicole by OPI, I was really excited. As soon as my mom told me they showed up at my local Walmart I went and bought one, and recently got three more for Christmas. My favorite so far is Disco Dolls.
Artificial light, no flash, no top coat.
Disco Dolls is described as 'glittery gold glam gone wild' by Nicole by OPI. It's different sized gold, red, silver, and green glitter in a gold base. I love this color so much because of the different sized glitters.

I bought Disco Dolls for about 7 dollars at Walmart. It only took me two coats to get full coverage and the first coats dried completely in two minutes while the second took about seven for it to be totally dried. I think this is really good time for a nail polish drying time, which is partially why I love it so much.
The only down I can find about this nail polish is that it does thicken pretty quickly as expected for most glitters, but this isn't something that can't be fixed with a few drops of nail polish thinner. I use a 2 dollar generic kind from Sally's Beauty, but I've heard great things about the Seche brand.

My only other issue with Disco Dolls is that it's a little too close to my skin tone. I'm very fair skinned and when I wear this polish alone sometimes I feel like I just have super sparkly normal nails. I'm crazy, I know. So when I wear this polish I always try to do a little something to it to make it special.
I decided to try this basket weave technique I've seen around online a lot lately. It was actually surprisingly easy to do. Three equally spaced line up top, three lines going diagnolly from right to left and three going from left to right.
This manicure is really simply and honestly only took me maybe a half of an hour from base coat to top coat.
So tell me, do you have any favorite polishes that you consider your stand-by 'easy' polishes?
